For the longest life, insert your garden stake into soft or loosened soil. If your ground is rocky, heavily compacted, or frozen, we recommend making a pilot hole first. Garden stakes are designed to slide into the ground, not be hammered through rocks.

These garden stakes are made from durable 16-gauge American steel.

Please note that our bare metal signs will rust organically. To avoid your item rusting, consider finishing it yourself or opting for our black powder-coated option.

Installation

Our garden stakes are proudly made from durable 16-gauge steel and are designed to provide years of enjoyment when installed properly. While they are built to be sturdy, they are not intended to be driven into extremely hard ground.

For best results, insert your stake into soft or previously loosened soil. If your ground is rocky, heavily compacted, or frozen, we recommend creating a pilot hole first using a screwdriver, metal rod, or similar tool before installing your stake. Forcing the stake into hard ground or striking it with excessive force may cause it to bend or become damaged.

A little extra care during installation will help ensure your garden stake looks great and lasts for many seasons.
